Where can I find a company to mass produce the scrapbook papers I have designed?

I have a home business, based primarily on scrapbooking. I would like to start offering my own scrapbook supplies that I have designed myself. I have several items in mind, but need to start finding businesses to physically manufacture them. I am beginning with basic paper (cardstock), stickers, and die-cuts. Does anyone know of any businesses willing and ready to mass produce these items? I don’t know how to find what I am looking for.
Someone answered that I might just go to a print shop and have them make what I want. However, that is not what I am after. I have a PRODUCT that I need to be MANUFACTURED…MASS PRODUCED. Are there any sources out there I might try? Anyone know of any companies I might contact?

Yes, there are plenty of manufacturers who can do this for you with no problem, but what is the quantity you’re talking about? Most manufacturers have set minimums, so unless you are really talking about a large volume, it may not be that easy or cost effective.

I have experience in purchasing foreign made goods from overseas as I travel to Asia numerous times and I have seen companies who make paper products fairly cheap over there, never really investigated because I am not in that line of business.

You can email me if you would like to discuss further rather than here on Answers.

  1. Any printing company can do, probably. But print shops really vary in their specialities. You really have to inquire at a lot of them and look at a lot of paper samples. To begin with, you need to understand the process required for making your item: what is the stock? what is the color? what sheet size does the raw stock come in? how is the item formed (folded? (how many folds?) die-cut (how many cuts?) packaged? labeled?) You need to know more about every detail of making your item, before every asking someone else to make it for you. And then you shop. You go to print shops and ask How much? How do you do THAT? Look at their equipment. Is it old and funky (sometimes old and funky makes the best giftware) or is it fresh and modern? Are the answers the shop is giving you related to the type of equipment they own, or in your own best interest? Think , think, think. And write everything down. Hope that helps.
